FIMCI has operated in Egypt's information technology sector since 1997, working across systems integration, infrastructure and digital services for clients in government, finance, manufacturing, healthcare and telecommunications. In 2005, the company was converted into a joint-stock enterprise, reflecting its growth within the Egyptian and regional IT market.

Today, FIMCI's work spans enterprise information systems, network infrastructure, software development, web and hosting services, and accredited professional training, supported by a team of around 100 professionals and long-running relationships with organizations including the Federation of Egyptian Industries and the Arab League.

Who we are

From individual enterprise to joint-stock company.

FIMCI began operations in 1997 in the Arab Republic of Egypt as an individually owned company working in information technology. Following early growth in the Egyptian and Middle East markets, the company converted to a joint-stock structure in 2005, formalizing its position among Egypt's established IT enterprises.

Today FIMCI operates with a team of around 100 professionals, holding current partnerships and accreditations with Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Cisco, UNESCO, Prometric and Certiport.

Government / Enterprise Systems

Federation of Egyptian Industries

FIMCI supplied and installed computer and server infrastructure for the Federation in 2003, training staff on the operating systems. In 2008, the company was contracted to develop an integrated financial and administrative system, delivered on 30 April 2009 and covering six industrial chambers: Pharmaceuticals, Chemical Industries, Healthcare, Cinema Industry, Wood Industry, and Building Materials. A subsequent contract has covered ongoing maintenance, technical support and staff training on the system.

Pan-Arab Publishing

Arab League — Economic Encyclopedia

Commissioned by the General Secretariat of the Arab League, FIMCI collected, compiled, designed and produced the Arab Economic Encyclopedia — a planned 20-volume reference covering Arab economic activity across industry, agriculture, tourism, healthcare, education, technology, banking and construction. FIMCI also published an initial edition of the Arab Trade Directory and built the League's early databases for the Greater Arab Free Trade Area.

E-Government

General Authority for Adult Literacy and Education

FIMCI planned, developed and hosted the Authority's website as part of Egypt's e-government portal, and built a web portal reflecting the organization's internal information systems.

Training

National training & certification programs

FIMCI has delivered over 220,000 documented training hours, including more than 2,000 ICDL certifications under UNESCO accreditation, and training for more than 3,700 employees (2002–2008) across organizations including El Nasr Housing & Development, Suez Cement, Suez Canal Bank, the National Bank of Egypt, and others. FIMCI has also implemented contracts under Egypt's Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) development program, working with MCIT and UNESCO on ongoing training grants.
